Libellule class welcomes children of Year 1 and Year 2 who already understand Italian language and can speak a little, even if not correctly. Italian is taught as a mother tongue language, entirely in Italian. During the class, children will learn the basics of the “analisi grammaticale” of the Italian language, they will learn about gender and plural of nouns, they will start to discriminate verbs in the past, present and future tense and they will work on the verbs “essere” and “avere” in the present tense. The readings will become a bit longer and they will be challenged at reading comprehension exercises. Pupils will also work on some complex phonics sounds.
