Ms Sofia Gardini
Ms Carmela Tiranno
I am Scuola di Sofia's founder and headteacher. I supervise the school work and classes curriculum and I coordinate the teachers' work and learning resources. Aside from the managing side of things, teaching remains for me the most fulfilling experience at school. The classroom is the place where I feel most comfortable and I just love the special relation I can create with my school children. I feel very lucky to have a special place in their young lives.
I have an extensive 15 years experience in teaching all sorts of ages and language levels, so you can be sure you will always find the right class for your child at Scuola di Sofia.
Ciao! I am Carmela, native Italian teacher. I love working with children and teaching is my passion. I have an extensive experience both in Italian schools and in the UK, where I worked with many children from different backgrounds as well as some with special education needs. At Scuola di Sofia I teach Italian language and culture. I am fond of Italian traditions and I recognise the importance of passing them to the future generations. My main goal is to ensure young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
Miss Elena Carrossa
Ciao! I am Elena, native Italian teacher and singer. Languages and music are my passions! At Scuola di Sofia I teach Italian to primary school children. My lessons and engaging and interactive, they involve playing, singing, creative writing and hands-on activities.
In my spare time, I compose and write songs for both children and grown-ups. Working with children comes very natural to me and it is what I love doing the most. Seeing the children grow and learn is, for me, the most fulfilling satisfaction!
Miss Federica Martini
Ciao! I am Federica, native Italian tutor and writer, with a warm and chatty personality. After taking my Master Degree in Languages in Rome, I moved to London to pursue my career in teaching and search inspiration for my novels and poems, some of which have been published. I have been working at Scuola di Sofia Italian School for a few years now, and, about this job, I particularly love the way children learn in new inspiring and fun ways. Working with them is exciting and a constant way of challenging and improving myself as well as having fun and growing as a teacher.
