About the Course
ISS Pettirossi

yr 1
Pettirossi class welcomes children of Reception age, who already understand Italian language and can speak a little, even if not correctly. Italian is taught as a mother tongue language, entirely in Italian. During the class, children will learn the syllabic system, the vowels sound and the tricky spellings of digraphs and trigraphs. Children will take their first readings steps and will be encouraged to write their first words and sentences in Italian. They will also work on answering questions and retelling the content of the stories we propose using short sentences.
